Maritime Robotics is among the top ten companies that raised the most capital last year. However, what sets this winner apart from many other tech companies is that they are actually profitable.
Over four years, the company’s revenue grew from NOK 51 million to NOK 127 million. Maritime Robotics develops unmanned surface vessels (USVs) that monitor and survey vast ocean areas. These drones are deployed for a wide range of missions—both civilian and military.
The winner of the Innovation Gazelle of the Year 2024 is Maritime Robotics.

Since 2005, the company has developed and delivered autonomous navigation systems and unmanned surface vessels to customers worldwide, enhancing operational capabilities across various maritime applications, including marine mapping and surveillance, environmental monitoring, supervision and inspection, and more.
Maritime Robotics is an important member of both the Ocean Autonomy Cluster and NORDSEC Nordic Defence and Security Cluster. The company also collaborates with FI Næringshage and FI Ocean Space Incubator, which are part of Siva’s national incubation program.
