iDROP develop an autonomous drone that dramatically changes the efficiency of collecting ocean bottom data. The company is situated at Fornebu/Oslo, with a design- and production site in Fredrikstad and operations coordination from a Bergen office. The technology span a wide range of disciplines, from cybernetics (Sintef and NTNU/AMOS are also involved) to electronics and power management. Our drones, currently a pre-production series of 27, is in the final stage of assembly; they will be tested continuously for the remaining part of this year and early 2023 but may join international pilot client globally in early spring.
We want to expand our industry- and academic network and strongly believe a community effort will move the technology development forward, says Kyrre Tjøm from iDrop.
